Fall into Fun in DeKalb County 2023

Explore the DeKalb Event Forecast – Embrace Autumn Adventures in DeKalb County! As the season turns, it’s time once more to wander amidst the pumpkin patches, don your finest costume for sweet treats, and navigate through Indiana’s grandest corn maze. To celebrate the most eerie time of the year, we are unveiling a collection of beloved Halloween-inspired activities right here in DeKalb County. There’s a multitude of delightful community events awaiting you this month! Below, you’ll discover a comprehensive list of these activities with more information available on this blog

TRUNK OR TREAT

Call all princesses, ghouls, witches, clowns, and other costumed kids to “Trunk or Treat” at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, October 29th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm!

Families are invited to explore the entire museum and visit our friendly costumed staff and volunteers handing out candy and goodies at stations and vehicles throughout our historic building.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Parents and guardians must be accompanied by their children.

The museum is also accepting candy donations for this event. All candy must be sealed and in its original packaging. Donations are accepted at the museum daily from 9am-5pm until the day of the event.

Amazing Fall Fun

For families, friends, or a date, there is something here on the farm for everyone to enjoy! Kids and Adults both can have fun in our Barnyard Activity Area. Then get lost and have fun as you navigate our 14 acre corn maze! Take a hayride to relax and enjoy the country scenery. Enjoy some Festival Food and Drinks including our famous Fresh Baked Donuts and Cider Slushies, sandwiches, fries and more. Pick some pumpkins and gourds from our many varieties in the Pumpkin Patch or choose from those already picked. This is a great way to enjoy some fresh air, exercise, and fun while bonding with your family or friends.

Hunt for the Great Pumpkin

It’s the Hunt for the Great Pumpkin! Kids in grades K-3 are invited to search Carr Field for pumpkin shaped eggs filled with candy, toys, and other great prizes.

Halloween Movie in the Park:” Hocus Pocus

Lean into the spooky season with us as we watch Hocus Pocus on the lawn of Eckhart Park. Thanks to Eckhart Public Library for partnering with us to provide this fun night.

October First Friday with Auburn Main Street

Friday, October 6th at 5pm – 8pm

Location: Downtown Auburn, Indiana

Come to Historic Downtown Auburn and enjoy music, shopping, dine out at one of the many restaurants or bars, and don’t forget dessert!

There will be 20+ Professionally carved Pumpkins by David A Smith Food Networks Pumpkin Carving Champion. He will be doing Live Demonstrations as well. REKT will be Playing Live at the James Cultural Plaza, so bring your Chair!

BUTLER CITY WIDE TRICK OR TREAT

Members of the community are invited to join an evening of fun. Those interested in participating with a vehicle trunk or those interested in passing out goodies may come the Butler American Legion Post 202 on Tuesday, October 31 @ 5:00pm to begin set-up.
