Exciting News: “#CareerDevelopmentINIndiana” Revs Up with a 1924 Duesenberg Tribute Car with the Garrett High School Trades- Welding and Fabrication program building!

We’ve got some thrilling updates to share about the latest project at Garrett High School’s Trades-Welding and Fabrication program. Last week, we transported the chassis that will be the bones for a 1924 Duesenberg Tribute Car to the high school, kicking off an incredible journey.

Local race car builder Gary Babineau has stepped in as a mentor, guiding the students through every step of the build. The project is more than just crafting a car; it’s about hands-on learning, skill development, and community engagement.

This project will be a great impact on our community and the future workforce. We’re aiming to foster career development right here in Indiana by providing students with authentic experiences, teaching job skills for our manufacturing industry, and helping them secure job placements in our local community.

“Career Development IN Indiana” seems like the perfect fit for this initiative, don’t you think? We believe it’s a win-win for everyone involved – the students, the community, and our local businesses. The response from local companies has been phenomenal, with many eager to support us with the matching funds needed.

Let’s come together to celebrate education, community, and the thrill of building something extraordinary. Stay tuned for more updates as we rev up “Career Development IN Indiana” with the 1924 Duesenberg Tribute Car!
