This hands-on expertise not only enhances their competitiveness in events like the Great Race but also underscores their deep commitment and passion for vintage cars and the art of automotive craftsmanship.

The Museum Crew comprises passionate vintage car enthusiasts who participate in cross-country rallies. Based in Auburn, Indiana, a hub of classic car collecting, this team consists of local students and workers who volunteer at Auburn area museums. They have united to compete in the Great Race, utilizing 3 Flathead Fords from the Early Ford V8 Foundation Museum, with technical support from NATMUS. The team’s support and membership continue to expand, including the first all-female team not only from DeKalb County but globally.

The Museum Crew comprises a dynamic mix of talented individuals, including high school and college students, dedicated to mastering the art of classic car mechanics through a prestigious education program. This initiative is a collaboration between the renowned Early Ford V-8 Foundation & Museum and the esteemed National Auto & Truck Museum.

In this unique program, participants not only gain theoretical knowledge but also apply their skills in practical settings. They immerse themselves in hands-on learning, working intricately with classic cars to hone their expertise.
