The Lord promises that on the Feast of Divine Mercy, if you go to Confession and receive Holy Communion, you will be forgiven of your sins and all punishment for those sins is wiped away.

“Never will your soul be cleaner than it is on that day, other than your original baptism.” Jesus, I trust in you!

-This feast is celebrated on the Sunday after Easter, marking the conclusion of the Easter Octave.

-Jesus, through visions reported by St. Faustina Kowalska, promised extraordinary graces of mercy on this day.

-A plenary indulgence is a special grace that, under certain conditions, wipes away the temporal punishment due to sins that have already been forgiven.

To receive the plenary indulgence, you must:
-Go to Confession (sacramental confession)
-Receive Holy Communion
-Pray for the intentions of the Holy Father
-Be in a state of grace

Additional Notes:
-Confession can be received within 20 days before or after Divine Mercy Sunday, provided the communicant is in a state of grace for Communion.

St. Faustina Kowalska:
-St. Faustina, a Polish nun, was the recipient of visions of Jesus, who revealed to her the importance of the Feast of Divine Mercy and the promise attached to it.
