Girl Scouts Car Care Badge Workshop Date: Saturday, November 2 Time: 9:15 am check-in opens, starts 9:30am-12:30pm. Cost (for girls/for supervisory adults): $18/Girl Scout. $3/adult or chaperone. ACDAM museum admission is included in the cost. Join us for an exciting and empowering workshop tailored for Girl Scouts aiming to earn their Car Care Badge! This hands-on session is designed to equip girls with essential knowledge and skills related to car maintenance, safety, and confidence on the road. Learn the Basics: Girl Scouts will delve into the fundamental principles of car care, including understanding vehicle components, checking fluids, and basic maintenance routines. Safety First: Safety is paramount. Girls will be educated on essential safety measures both inside and outside the vehicle, including emergency procedures, roadside assistance, etc. Hands-On Activities: Get ready to roll up your sleeves! Scouts will have the opportunity to engage in practical activities such as changing a tire, checking tire pressure, and conducting basic inspections under the guidance of experienced instructors. Participants should wear clothes that can get dirty with closed-toe shoes. Participants will be provided with protective eyewear.
