The Great Race Spring Regional Rally presented by Stahls Automotive Foundation. Much like the main Great Race, the Spring Regional Rally will move to a new city and new route each year. This year the event took place in Auburn, Indiana for 2023 because it’s history of being an ultimate car town. DeKalb County is the home to the Auburn, Cord and Duesenberg production, and Auburn does a great job of appreciating the automotive heritage. There was a Great Race stop at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, but an overnight stop just wasn’t enough time to see all that Auburn has to offer. Before the rally started, drivers spent the day at the ACD Museum as well as the National Auto & Truck Museum for registration and tech inspection. Then, it was time to head to the Auburn Courthouse Square for a Thursday night cruise-in that featured hundreds of awesome cars and a huge turnout of spectators. Participants headed back to their hotel and prepared the cars for rally action.
Great Race Spring Rally Drivers from across the country flock to our local car museums, attractions, and cruise down our roads! The Spring Rally Great Race participants started their journey from the Hampton INN in the morning in Auburn, Indiana. Warm coffee and final preparations happened before their departure. They will headed to Elkhart, Indiana and returned roughly 4:35 pm.
