Day 2 Update with DeKalb County’s Museum Crew:

Yesterday was an incredible day for the teams! They embarked on a thrilling journey that began with a delightful lunch break in Auburn, Alabama. It was a momentous occasion for Team 154 as they achieved their very first ACE, marking a significant milestone in their endeavors.

The excitement carried over from the previous day, as the teams bravely rode the scorching heat all the way to the finish line. However, yesterday proved to be an even more exceptional day for them. Although Team 153 encountered some overheating issues under the Alabama sun, they skillfully resolved the problem by removing the hood, allowing them to finish the race in a splendid manner.

With these incredible accomplishments behind them, the teams now set their sights on their next destination: the vibrant city of Memphis. Their spirits are high, and they eagerly anticipate the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead.

DAY 1-

Great finish for team 153. They got another ACE. Team 154 had some issues with a fuel pump so they rode the hot shot in. Standard Great Race fashion, the parking lot has become the workspace for not only the Museum Crew, but for other racers, too.

Prep Day:

Morning meeting time. After meetings are done it’s off to the races! Today is the Trophy Run. The Trophy Run is a short half day rally around the starting city and it’s outlying areas. The results do not count toward the eight day rally we are about to embark on, however it is used as a tie breaker in the event of a tie for the actual Great Race.
