Community Foundation DeKalb County Kicks Off Giving Tuesday DeKalb 2025 Campaign

AUBURN — The Community Foundation DeKalb County is launching its annual Giving Tuesday DeKalb campaign, a communitywide effort to support and strengthen local nonprofit organizations.

Running from October 6 through November 22, this fundraising initiative encourages residents across the county to come together in the spirit of generosity, culminating in the celebration of Giving Tuesday on December 2 — a global day dedicated to giving back.

Eligible nonprofits with endowment funds at the Foundation can participate and compete for additional unrestricted grant awards. This year’s top fundraisers will be recognized with the following grants:

  • 1st Place: $5,000
  • 2nd Place: $3,000
  • 3rd Place: $2,000
  • 4th & 5th Place: $1,000 each
  • Most Improved: $3,000 awarded to the organization with the highest percentage increase in fundraising compared to 2024

“Giving Tuesday DeKalb is an opportunity for all of us to invest in the future of our county,” said Tanya Young, Executive Director of the Community Foundation. “Every gift — no matter the size — plays a role in empowering the nonprofits that serve our neighbors every day.”
