Don’t Miss These Cool Programs When Planning Your Trip

Take your visit to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum to the next level! From the fascinating individuals who led the Auburn Automobile Company to the inner workings of some of history’s most iconic vehicles, there are so many stories to tell that go far beyond the exhibits on the museum floors. To help elevate your visitor experience, the museum offers several options to see more and to learn more.

Each month, the museum offers two special programs. “If These Cars Could Talk”, is presented by the museum’s collections manager and it highlights one of the museum’s classic automobiles and allows visitors to get to know a car in person and in greater detail, from the engine to the interior and all the little intricacies in-between. Attendees will also get a snapshot into the car’s historical significance, fascinating details and the story of its owner(s). “If These Cars Could Talk” are presented the first Saturday of each month and included in a museum admission.

If you are interested in a broader scope of automobile history, the  “Sunday Spotlight” might be of interest to you. The Spotlight is a lecture series presented by the museum’s curatorial staff and the themes rotate throughout the year and feature topics like automobile designers, famous automobiles, pop culture and local history. The “Sunday Spotlights” are held the second Sunday of each month – paid admission is not required, but for those interested, the curatorial staff will offer discounted tours of the museum following the presentation. Highly recommended for those wanting a more in-depth tour.

If you are planning a visit to the museum and are road tripping with your classic car, consider coming on a Saturday and joining one of their “Cars and Coffee” events. The event attracts hundreds of car enthusiasts who enjoy fellowship and free coffee from Jeremiah’s Brewed Awakenings and Tom’s Donuts. Sponsored by RM Auctions, it’s the perfect way to enjoy your morning before touring the museum. These cruise ins are held the third Saturday of the month during warmer months – check schedule for dates.

To see a list of upcoming topics and dates for all three programs, feel free to follow the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum on Facebook or visit their events page on their website.
